■ Recommended Travel Destinations

1. Seongsan Ilchulbong

Seongsan Ilchulbong is different from other volcanic cones on Jeju Island because it is a water volcano formed by magma erupting underwater. When it was formed, it was separate from the main island of Jeju, but sand and gravel piled up around it created a path connecting it to the mainland. In 1940, a road was built, making it perfectly connected to the land. At the top, you can see a crater that is about 80,000 pyeong wide, shaped like a bowl, with plants like silver grass growing inside. The stairs to the top are steep, making it hard to breathe, but anyone can climb it in about 20 minutes.

2. Cheonjiyeon Waterfall

Seogwipo has a lot of natural springs compared to other areas, which means it has many waterfalls. Among them, Cheonjiyeon Waterfall attracts many visitors. Its name means a pond formed where heaven and earth meet. The diverse trees grow densely, providing cool shade even in the hot summer, and the walking paths made of basalt are well-built, so people of all ages can enjoy the natural scenery. Especially, it stays open until 10 PM, and the view of the waterfall at night is spectacular, so be sure to see it!

3. Camellia Hill

Camellia Hill is the largest camellia garden in Asia, with many charming photo spots making it popular among couples and families. In the season when camellias bloom, many varieties greet visitors, and as summer begins, hydrangeas resembling the blue sky welcome guests. In fall, silver grass and pink muhly fill the garden. If you want to take beautiful memories from your trip, visit Camellia Hill!
