Become an English Mentor for Children and Grow Together in Gangjin, Korea

This is a volunteer education project where I live with children in a daycare and engage in English and various educational activities.By sharing my talents and experiences with the kids while doing English education and various activities, the children gain new learning opportunities, and I have a meaningful experience of growing together beyond just teaching. When I share daily life with the kids in a warm southern village, it can bring small but meaningful positive changes to their lives. Go beyond simple meetings and spend time together, providing the kids with new experiences and a sense of security, while participants can feel warm growth.

1. Become an English teacher and show the kids in the daycare a wider world.

For the kids in the daycare, education is more than just learning; it is a precious chance to face new possibilities. Children grow as they discover a world they didn't know while expanding their knowledge. In particular, English becomes a powerful tool to communicate with various people, understand a larger world, and nurture new dreams in their hearts.While chatting in English and playing with their whole bodies, make learning English a natural and joyful part of their daily lives instead of a subject. In doing so, the kids will break down barriers to a foreign language and gain the little courage to face new challenges. The time spent with the children is not just ordinary classes. Daily conversations and activities, along with small experiences, build strong foundations for the kids to prepare for their futures. Through your warm attention and support that will stay in their hearts for a long time, please deliver a special gift that will continue in the kids' lives.

2. Create special classes with the talents I have. You are the kids' new world.

Any talent I have can be a new world and learning opportunity for the kids. Using what I love, like art, music, sports, crafting, or reading, I can provide special times and classes for the kids.By preparing lessons and working with the kids, I also grow as an educational planner and learn how to share my talents and experiences naturally.My little efforts in these classes will become enjoyable and new experiences for the kids. This can be a valuable moment for the children to discover their dreams and interests and get help moving forward.

3. Please do everything together. Spend time with the kids and share daily life.

There is always a need for people to spend time with the kids here.Doing after-school homework together, playing, cooking, and talking are small daily activities that can be a great support for the children.You don't need any special skills or expertise. Spending the day walking and exercising together will create good memories for the kids. What is a normal day for you can become an unforgettable warm memory and a source of growth for the kids.

This is an educational volunteer project that provides English education and various activities for children at the daycare.

Through various programs, including English classes, play activities, and after-school learning support, we will give children the chance to learn something new and have fun experiences as we grow together.

■ Main Activities

• Operating an elementary English education program: Learning simple everyday English through play and experience.
• Operating a middle school English education program: Focused on conversation and improving communication skills.
• Running a talent donation program: Activities in various areas like art, music, and sports based on participants' talents.
• After-school learning and daily support: Helping with homework, cleaning, cooking, and daily life after school.

■ Example Daily Schedule

We will run educational programs 3 to 4 times a week. Other than that, we will support the children’s daycare life and be their mentors.

Morning 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM	Free time
Afternoon 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM	Prepare for the children’s lessons or support cleaning and daily life.
Evening 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM	Run English and other educational programs.

1. Gangjinman Ecological Park
This tourist spot is well known for its wide reed fields and beautiful wetland scenery. You can enjoy the changing natural views with the seasons and spend relaxing time in nature by walking along the paths. Particularly, the red sunset at dusk leaves a lasting memory and impression on visitors.

2. Goryeo Celadon Museum

The Goryeo Celadon Museum is a space where you can learn about the history and making process of Goryeo celadon from a thousand years ago. Through various exhibitions and experience programs, you can appreciate the beauty of traditional crafts and naturally understand the significance of the craftsmanship. You can also deeply feel the excellence and artistic value of Goryeo celadon through the exhibition materials and artifacts.

3. Baegundong Garden

This beautiful garden represents traditional garden culture, with impressive views where valleys, forests, and ponds blend naturally. You can quietly walk and feel the nature up close, experiencing a calmness that is hard to find in a busy city. It's a healing space where you can relax both your body and mind.

02Fill out the application form.	- Don't feel pressured; express yourself comfortably and honestly.
03 Pay the project fee.	- After confirming the project registration fee or full payment, your application will be sent to the local organization. - If necessary, there will be a Skype interview with the local organization to confirm your participation after you pay the project fee. - If the local organization does not approve after review, 100% of the registration and participation fees will be refunded.
04 Receive confirmation text for payment.	- The day after you pay the project fee, we will check and send you a payment confirmation text. - If you don’t receive a text the day after payment, please contact us! (For weekend payments, confirmations will be sent on Monday morning.)
05 Confirmation of project participation.	- It takes about 1 to 7 days for the local organization to review the application and confirm the final decision. - If you are accepted into the project, the person in charge will contact you separately.
06 Arrival and start of the project.	- Participants will meet their contact person after arriving in the local area and will have a local orientation. - After the local orientation, participants will learn about the information provided by the local organization, and will start the project while staying safe. Local orientation may not happen depending on the organization, and it can change or be shortened based on circumstances.
07 Submit feedback after the project.	- After the project ends, participants will submit feedback, and a certificate will be issued after review.

3. This project has a strict refund policy. We will refund 100% of the project fee if canceled before project participation is confirmed.

4. The project schedule and content may change due to local circumstances like traffic or weather, and may be reduced or altered if necessary.

5. This project is operated by a partner organization. Therefore, the local organization is responsible for the actual operation.
